Still Feeling Nervous?
I receive a letter almost daily questioning if this is actually secure. The knowledge you have just read is sufficient to prevent 99%+ of parcels from falling into the hands of law authorities. However, sometimes contents can be found. Perhaps a parcel has been damaged, or a postal worker has opened a package they shouldn’t have. What do they do if they discover half an ounce of marijuana in a package? The ideal situation, and the one that is most likely to occur, is that they simply discard it (or bring it home and smoke it!). In the worst situation, they call the police.
At this stage, the police can only arrest you if they perform a “controlled delivery”. When a police officer brings a package to your door and instructs you to sign for it, you run the risk of getting into trouble (you are NEVER asked to sign for a package). You cannot be arrested just for placing a package in your mailbox. Otherwise, anyone might send drugs to someone else and pay a penny to get them into trouble. Therefore, if you’re anxious, just keep in mind that you should never sign for a parcel.
If after reading this you are still nervous you can also add this layer of protection: When you receive your package don’t open it for two days. Just put it on the table. In the unlikely event that there’s a knock on your door you can plausibly claim you have no idea what is in the package. Of course this scenario is really not very likely to happen but if you want to cover all bases there you go.
It is obviously highly unlikely to advance this far. A regulated distribution needs a significant investment of time and resources. Every law enforcement agency has a certain amount of these, and they are quite unlikely to use it to send someone a package of marijuana. They might comply if the weight or medicine dosage were greater. The larger the dealer, the better; this is their general approach to drug policy. Sure, they enjoy busting drug users when they come across them, but they don’t spend money attempting to catch a casual marijuana user. If they are successful, there is simply no return on their investment in charging someone with a misdemeanor. I’ve done a lot of study on this and have NEVER discovered
More than 99% of our deliveries are successful. The majority of people who don’t do so due to incorrect addresses, family members intercepting packages, etc. Ones that are just “lost in the mail” happen very rarely. We have been in business for more than three years, and during that time, there has never been a single case of someone having issues while utilizing our service.
